MP PLANS AID FOR GAZA

Following the disgraceful and disproportionate military intervention in Gaza, Nigel Griffiths is helping to co-ordinate Scottish Medical Aid to Gaza.  As chair of the SCKA, Nigel’s team is busy collecting over 3 tons of medical equipment and supplies and working with the Egyptian Red Cross to deliver this.  For further information, please contact Denis Rutowitz on 552 1545.

Nigel Griffiths welcomed the Spiritual Leader of Tibet to the House of Commons.  He first met Tenzin Gyatso when he invited the Dalai Lama to Edinburgh as a young councillor, and they have kept in touch ever since.  The Dalai Lama brought a message of peace and his desire to secure autonomy for Tibet.
