The late John Smith’s family were the leading guests at a recent event in No 11 Downing Street to celebrate the work of the John Fellowship Programme.

Nigel Griffiths was joined by the Chair of the Trust, Ken Munro, who has been involved in interviewing new Trust Fellows.

The Fellowship Programme is an intensive, five-week programme on good governance, democracy and social justice. It is aimed at the next generation of leaders in newly independent republics that were part of the former Soviet Union. These are the key young people working in politics, local government or civil society with an established interest in promoting democratic reform.
